KNOWLEDGE FOR BETTER FINANCIAL WELL-BEING

Educational centre Geoss is a consortium partner in the project Knowledge for Better Financial Well-Being, under which we will provide free financial literacy training for adults until 2026.
Project description:
The project Knowledge for Better Financial Well-Being offers educational programmes aimed at improving adults’ financial literacy, in accordance with the provisions of the Adult Education Act (ZIO-1). Participants have the opportunity to gain essential knowledge in personal financial planning, investing, debt management, taxation, financial security, online banking, and other current financial topics. Available programmes include 40-hour non-formal adult education courses and a more extensive 105-hour officially recognised programme.

Project duration: November 2024 – June 2026
Purpose and goal of the project:
The aim is to strengthen the financial resilience and literacy of the Slovenian population and to enable individuals to achieve and maintain financial well-being in times of unpredictable economic and social change.
Project results:
Together with consortium partners, we will include 540 participants in the programmes.
Total project value: €405,487.00
EU co-financing: €405,487.00
Implementation: During the project period, IC Geoss will carry out 3 officially recognised programmes and 10 non-formal educational programmes.
Target group: Adults.
The public call “Implementation of Adult Education Programmes and Development of a Digital Library in the Field of Financial Literacy” is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and implemented in line with the plan under the development area Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth. Component: Strengthening competences, especially digital skills and those required by new professions and the green transition (C3 K5; in accordance with the EU Council Implementing Decision: K12). Investment measure E: Comprehensive transformation (sustainability and resilience) of green and digital education – Public Call: Financial Literacy Programmes and Digital Library.
