LS4YOU – Life Skills For Youth

About the project

The Life Skills for Youth project is an Erasmus+ KA2 project aiming to equip young people with the skills they need to choose, design, and build their future career path. The project is based on the concepts of design thinking and positive psychology, and combines the expertise of five different European partner organisations to contribute and develop a training course that will foster the skills of young people.

Objectives

  • LS4YOU aims to equip young people with the skills they need to choose, design, and build their future career path.
  • Based on the concepts of design thinking and positive psychology, LS4YOU aims to develop a method, digital tools and training for youth workers to apply them to young people’s social and professional integration.

Activities

  • research and knowledge sharing/transfer of practice (good practice booklet, life skills collection)
  • development of a common method (method: LS4YOU guide)
  • development of learning tools (LS4YOU platform)
  • training of trainers (training of trainers)
  • 4 local trainings for practitioners (youth workers)
  • 4 dissemination events in the form of expert days

Results

  • A repository of lifeskills
  • an LS4YOU method for supporting the development of lifeskills
  • an LS4YOU platform for measuring and acquiring lifeskills for young people
  • a guidance document to support the roll-out in professional integration organisations
  • a training curriculum for professionals (method referents)
  • a network of lifeskills experts- the deployment of new practices within structures

Impact

  • LS4YOU responds to shared needs by introducing innovative approaches to better support young people. It will enhance organisational practices, build staff capacity, and improve training programmes across partner organisations.
  • The project’s tools and methods will also be transferable, promoting broader impact in youth support and vocational integration at local, national, and European levels.
