Creation POP: A creative social prescription approach: promoting wellbeing of persons of older age through creativity-based intergenerational activities

Golas

  • Provide new, innovative ways of social inclusion for the elderly through creative arts (theatre).
  • Raise awareness among younger generations and among elderly as well, that they have a lot of experiences that can be shared with younger generations and that their voices are important and that they should express them.
  • Develop theater activities that produce a safe space for expressing and challenging age-related stereotypes.
  • Improve the competences of educators and other adult education staff and improve the availability of high quality learning opportunities for adults that will enable them greater social inclusion.

  • Development of 5 key project results (needs analysis of elderly, study of intergenerational teaching and learning activities, Creation POP methodology and toolkit, online platform).
  • 5 transnational project meetings.
  • 5 multiplier events.

  • Report on understanding the needs of persons of older age and how to support their social inclusion.

  • Greater awareness about the social issues (ageing) and the need to look for and provide systematic approaches to the issue.

  • Raised awareness on the benefits of intergenerational learning for all generations involved.
  • Greater sense of belonging in society of the participants, leading to healthier communities with greater understanding across and among different age group.
